After a decade of meetings and discoveries, the Photo Show has chosen to redefine itself to better align with the practices of enthusiasts and professionals alike. Vlogs, short films, sketches — video has become a mainstay and a democratized form of creative expression over recent years. Today, the Photo & Video fair highlights not only photography but also the art of videography.

For the 2026 edition, mark your calendars from October 8th to 11th, when this event dedicated to photography and video will take center stage. Since it first opened its doors in 2007, this artistic gathering has become a key meeting point, bringing together every year professionals, enthusiasts, major brands, photo agencies, schools, vendors, and artists... This event is not just a showcase for the latest technological innovations from leading brands, it’s also an opportunity to dive deeper into the universe of photography, make connections, and experience something truly unique.

The Photo & Video Show offers a wealth of meetings, lectures, workshops and training courses for amateurs and professionals alike, to explore the varied techniques and facets of this world. It also features an awards ceremony, exhibitions, and artistic presentations around a special theme... Here are a few must-attend sessions at the show.

• The Grand Exhibition : “200 years behind the lens. Cameras: 1826-2026”
  
  
• 11 exhibitions : Portraits by authors, prizes and the country’s essential photo festivals.
  
  
• An immersive experience: Marjolaine Vuarnesson’s collodion studio
  To extend this deep dive into the history of photography, the Salon Photo & Video offers an activity around wet collodion, one of the most fascinating processes of the 19th century. Throughout the fair, photographer and visual artist Marjolaine Vuarnesson, a specialist in antique photographic techniques and founder of Studio Baxton in Brussels, will create wet-collodion portraits live before the public.
  Every day at 11 a.m., a demonstration reveals all the steps of this technique invented in 1851, from preparing the glass plate to sensitizing, shooting and developing in a darkroom.
  Paid workshops are offered all day to learn this artisanal know-how, blending chemistry, technique and creativity. Visitors can also have their own wet-collodion portrait taken. 
  
  
• Temporary Capsule: the Bicentennial Suitcase 2026 - 2039
  Presented to the public for the first time at the Salon Photo & Video, The Bicentennial Suitcase is an associative, collective, historical and heritage project led by HIP, Histoires Photographiques. This time capsule dedicated exclusively to photography aims to preserve a snapshot of the year 2026 and to transmit a cultural testimony of the bicentennial year to future generations. After the collection stages, The Malle will be sealed in 2027 and then exhibited and safeguarded for twelve years at the Nicéphore Niépce Museum in Chalon-sur-Saône. It will reopen in 2039.
  
  
• The Great Encounters
  Led by specialist journalists, these conversations explore their career paths, inspirations, approaches, and the backstories of their work. At the heart of the Salon Photo & Video, the Boris Vian Theatre, on level -1, hosts for this edition: Nikos Aliagas, Alexandre Astier, Arnaud Baumann, Samuel Bollendorff, Christophe Brachet, Olivier Culmann, Jean-Marie Dreujou, Kyriakos Kaziras, Alain Keler, Baptiste Langinier, JC Pieri, Adrien Vautier, Sophie Zénon. The discussions are moderated by journalists Anaïs Viand and Sophie Bernard.
