Ahead of the new season, EDIF, the association of independent publishing in Île-de-France, launches the second edition of its salon, staged as a party, from Friday, September 18 to Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the heart of the Halle des Blancs-Manteaux. Over three days, about a hundred publishers will showcase their catalogues and underline the role of Francilien independent publishing within the book supply chain, a sector aiming to safeguard cultural diversity.
The aim? To introduce the public to the region’s thriving landscape of independent publishers, which “are committed to defending their autonomy, their belief in the need to publish differently, and to offering a distinct path in the book ecosystem,” at a literary fair that is a free and accessible to all. For this inaugural edition, the event’s patron is Laurine Roux, laureate of the Librarians' Prize 2026.
On the program: meetings, round tables, book signings, workshops for young and old, refreshments, and a wide range of literary genres to discover as the new literary season gets underway: novels, comics, children's books, essays, poetry, documentaries, travelogues, theater, personal accounts - something for young and old alike!
