The bande dessinée caters to every age and every style. From the timeless Astérix and Spirou to newer, more contemporary works—realistic drawings, kid-friendly cartoons, historical graphic novels, fantastical tales, sports series, and humorous comics—the world of BD is as vast as it is rich.
To showcase this art so special and the people who bring it to life, a dedicated fair was needed! The SoBD fair is returning to Paris for a 16th edition, to be held from December 4–6, 2026. This event, organized at the Halle des Blancs Manteaux, welcomes comic authors, illustrators, publishing houses... and, of course, readers of all ages!
During this dedicated weekend, visitors can discover new releases, revisit classics, participate in master classes and workshops, meet French and international authors, and enjoy a variety of exhibitions, talks, and screenings...
At this 2026 edition, 150 authors and artists are on site at the Halle des Blancs Manteaux, and nearly 70 exhibitors are unveiling their comic book catalogues. This year, the fair shines a spotlight on Denmark, with a special delegation of artists and publishers. Finally, the guests of honor for this edition are Fabcaro and Nelly Feuerhahn: visitors can meet them at a range of panel discussions, talks and exhibitions within the fair.
Comic book fans can look forward to a rich literary program at this free fair and open to all. Don’t miss this major, must-attend gathering of the 9th art in Paris, and dive into the endless world of comics…
Just before Noël, take advantage of this literary gathering to treat yourself or discover some belles idées cadeaux to tuck under the Christmas tree! Happy reading to all.
