Thoiry Wild Race 2023: 10K Race and Kids Course at Thoiry Safari Zoo

Thoiry Wild Race returns to Thoiry ZooSafari on September 17, 2023. On the program: a 10km adventure race and a kids' trail through the zoo and safari.

The popularity of the Thoiry Wild Race continues to grow. On September 17, 2023, runners are invited to discover the 10-kilometer course, winding through the magnificent Parc du Château, the zoo and part of the safari. For an even more unique experience, a race dedicated to children, the kids' course, promises great adventures.

The Thoiry Wild Race is recognized as one of the most original races in the Paris region. This year, the race takes place at Thoiry ZooSafari on a 10 km trail. The circuit offers a unique opportunity to cross the Parc du Château, the Zoo, and even part of the Safari. What's more, children aged 6 and over can take part in their own 1km race, scheduled for 11 a.m. in the château gardens.

A program for all ages:

1km course for 6-10 year-olds (for children only).
Start at 11:00 a.m. (warm-up from 10:45 a.m. to 10:55 a.m.).

10km course for over-16s.
Start at 9:00 am (warm-up from 8:15 am to 8:45 am).
Medical certificate less than 6 months old required for each participant.

After the effort, it's time for a more leisurely tour of the zoo and to discover the new attractions, such as the charming Australian aviary. Children are encouraged to come in fancy dress to make the experience even more memorable.

Commitment is at the heart of the Thoiry Wild Race. Since its creation in 1968, Thoiry Zoo has always been committed to raising public awareness of the conservation of endangered species. With this in mind, in 2019 the park created "Thoiry Conservation", the first endowment fund in France dedicated to financing conservation programs such as the CCF (Cheetah Conservation Fund) or the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. For every race number purchased, €1 is donated to Thoiry Conservation to support the conservation of endangered species worldwide.
