La Coloc' de l'Ourcq, a coworking space in Bobigny

On the banks of the Ourcq canal in the direction of Bondy, right across from the Bergère departmental park in Bobigny, you can see a bright space with large windows. Welcome to the Coloc de l'Ourcq, a third-party coworking and sports coaching space set up along the canal, to combine physical exercise and teleworking in a friendly atmosphere.

"The idea is to bring people together through sport", explains Clément Rémond, the CEO of the Coloc' (in the center of the picture below). On the program: yoga, swimming, cycling, running... Directly in the coworking space or outside, between two calls and meetings. This place is a project that Clément Rémond, in collaboration with the FSGT 93, the federation of popular sports of Seine Saint-Denis of which he is co-president, has led.

Jeanne and Jean-Fidèle (pictured above), the latest additions to the team, will give you a warm welcome at the Coloc'. On the spot, coffee, tea and small cakes are available for everyone. And it is not rare that some coworkers take the opportunity to bring home-made cakes to share during a break. Here, conviviality is the rule: we valueexchange, sharing and this is what makes the real wealth of this place.

At the Coloc', you will find sports classes taught by qualified coaches, but only at times adapted to active people and to (over)busy schedules. On Mondays, you can attend a hatha yoga class from 8am, let off steam during a running session on Fridays at noon or opt for more gentle disciplines such as sophrology, on Wednesdays at 7pm, or gentle gymnastics, on Thursdays at 11am.

With sports sessions costing 10 € each, including reduced rates when you take a subscription for six sessions, needless to say that this is a good plan to exercise in an affordable way and accessible to all. Moreover, the place also offers lower rates on its six-session packs, depending on your income: "what we want is for people who come here to do sports", adds Clément. Here, the social mix is king and you can meet executives, workers, RSA beneficiaries, elderly people, young people, refugees...

Moreover, if we observe the Coloc' more closely, we must say that sport is everywhere: in the games of petanque and Mölkky available to the coworkers as soon as the weather is nice, and even in the free access to the office bikes. Pedaling while working, combining sport and work to find a balance in the workday: that's the ambition of the Coloc' de l'Ourcq.

While waiting for the return of the sunny days and the yoga sessions at sunset on the terrace, you can come and try the sports classes for all levels, especially cycling and swimming, accessible to complete beginners who do not know how to swim or pedal perfectly. La Coloc' also offers other events, such as the evening of exchanges around the World Cup in Qatar, on November 23.
