It's far from being an ordinary café, with the look of a traditional Parisian brasserie with waiters in suits, no, Chez Mona is not "just" a café where you can come to cowork, drink a hot tea or eat a good cake, it's also a place with a strong identity that carries high the values of feminism and supports women in their projects.
Moreover, Mona is above all a community of women who want to devote themselves to a project that thrills them, to support those of other women, to meet new people and, above all, to exchange. The place is located in the heart of the Cité Audacieuse, a beautiful space open to the public that works for women's rights, raises awareness and proposes a whole bunch of events for more sisterhood in our lives.
The program is really varied: there are creative workshops for children as well as conferences, book signings, showcases, expression circles and sports classes. Be careful though: whether you come to attend one of these events or not, the place is only open part of the week, from Thursday to Sunday, from 9am to 8pm on weekdays and from 11am to 8pm on weekends.
On the menu, we find the basics of hot drinks: espresso, hazelnut, latté, tea, hot chocolate, alcohols too, and softs. For lunch, we offer balanced and vegetarian dishes, such as Italian sandwiches, Korean mini-buns with eggs, spring quiche or the comforting soup of the moment. For a snack, we opt for the vegan cakes on the menu: banana bread, cookies, brownies with fleur de sel. In short, it is the ideal place to spend a beautiful afternoon or to come with friends, solo... to have lunch, work, a drink or a coffee.
