Paris Olympics: an Olympic and European carnival to be held in the capital on Saturday, June 15, 2024

This Saturday, June 15, 2024, Paris beats to the sound of its new carnival, organized in honor of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to come this summer.

So, for the first edition of the European and Latino Olympic Carnival, get ready for a particularly festive afternoon that will take you all over Europe, from Moldavia to Spain, via Italy and Ukraine.

What's on the agenda? Join us at 2pm at the Père Lachaise cemetery for the masked procession, scheduled to arrive at Place Stalingrad at around 5pm. Afterwards, entertainment and other festivities are planned until 9pm on the Place de la République. You'll be able to discover and celebrate national traditions fromItaly, Germany, Spain, Poland, Moldavia and Ukraine.

The carnival is organized by the Collectif pour un Service Civique Européen and brings together specialized associations. If you'd like to take part, you can either come in costume, highlighting the European country you'd like to represent, or take part in the procession with the flag of the country you'd like to represent.

The program in detail:

  • 2pm: departure of the parade
  • 5pm-6pm: arrival at Place Stalingrad
  • Until 9pm: entertainment and festivities on Place Stalingrad
