Johnny Hallyday is in the spotlight this Thursday, July 27, 2023 on France 2. As the artist would have turned 80 this year, France Télévisions is offering a special evening dedicated to the "Taulier", opening with the broadcast of the tribute concert "Johnny Hallyday: Que je t'aime", followed by the concert event "Johnny Hallyday symphonique".

On December 5, it will be 6 years since Johnny Hallyday passed away. And on June 15, the artist should have celebrated his 80th birthday. This summer, a number of channels have decided to honor Johnny Hallyday's music on their airwaves. France 2, for example, is offering a special evening on Thursday, July 27, 2023, with two exceptional concerts.

Starting at 9:10 p.m., the tribute concert " Johnny Hallyday: Que je t'aime " (Johnny Hallyday: I love you ). Recorded on September 14, 2021, following the inauguration of the Johnny Hallyday esplanade in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, this musical event was held at theAccor Arena in Paris (formerly Paris Bercy), a venue that Johnny Hallyday knew well, having performed no fewer than 101 concerts there! In fact, the rocker is the artist who has performed there the most times.

The two-hour concert, broadcast for the first time on television in 2021, features a host of artists covering Johnny Hallyday's greatest hits. These included Florent Pagny 's cover of " Le pénitencier ", Patrick Fiori 's rendition of the hit " Que je t'aime ", and Kad Merad 's rendition of " Ma gueule ". The 10,000 fans at theAccor Arena in Paris were also treated to performances by Patrick Bruel, Kendji Girac, Louane, Calogero, Nolwenn Leroy, Slimane, Jenifer, Julien Doré, Yodelice, Gad Elmaleh, Amir, Zucchero, Louis Bertignac and Christophe Maé, all under the musical direction ofYvan Cassar, Johnny Hallyday's historic artistic director.

The evening dedicated to the "Taulier" continues on France 2 at 11:20pm with the broadcast of the concert event " Johnny Hallyday symphonique " .

Again orchestrated by Yvan Cassar and launched in Nice in 2022, this large-scale tour resurrects the French icon's artistic universe on stage, featuring his voice accompanied by 100 musicians. An incredible feat!

More than just an exceptional show, this visual and musical experience is an opportunity to (re)discover the "Taulier's" greatest songs in a never-before-seen symphonic version.

Join us this Thursday, July 27 at 9:10pm on France 2 to experience this tribute to Johnny Hallyday from the comfort of your own home!
