Renaud: special evening on France 2 on Thursday, August 3, here's the program

Attention Renaud fans! After an evening dedicated to Johnny Hallyday on July 27, France 2 is now honoring Renaud. Not to be missed on Thursday, August 3, 2023, this great evening is dedicated to the famous French author, composer and performer, soon to be seen in concert in Paris.

Starting at 9:10pm, it's time for " Joyeux anniversaire Renaud ". Recorded at the Palais des Sports - Dôme de Paris, the show was first broadcast in the spring of 2022, when the artist celebrated his 70th birthday and released his album"Métèque". During this 2-hour evening, the Phoenix sings several songs from his latest album, released in 2022, while artists and friends perform, alone or in duet with Renaud, some of his most legendary hits, such as " Mistral Gagnant ", " Manu ", " Morgane de toi ", " Manhattan Kaboul ", " En cloque " and " Dès que le vent soufflera ".

Patrick Bruel, Axelle Red, Jean-Louis Aubert, Claire Keim, Renan Luce, Zaz, Bénabar, Vincent Delerm, Dave, Tryo, Raphaël, Élodie Frégé, Calogero, Gauvain Sers, Noé Preszow and Benoît Dorémus are among the artists featured on this special program dedicated to Renaud.

In the second half of the evening, from 11:20pm, France 2 broadcasts " Renaud, souvenirs, souvenirs ". This ground-breaking documentary combines archive footage of Renaud performing his greatest hits, with first-hand accounts of key anecdotes from his career. Renaud 's friends also appear in this documentary, paying tribute to the Phoenix, including Soprano, Nicolas Sirkis, Jean-Louis Aubert, Thomas Dutronc, Julien Clerc, Laurent Voulzy... The musical performances are interspersed with testimonials and anecdotes on the career of the rebellious, committed singer.
