Imagine Dragons put on a breathtaking show at La Défense Arena on August 23. With an opening act in the shape of Mother Mother, the evening was rich in emotion.

August 23, 2023 will remain etched in the memories ofImagine Dragons fans. La Défense Arena vibrated to the sound of their greatest hits, preceded by the touching performance of Mother Mother. An evening where music resonated with passion and energy.

Mother Mother got the ball rolling, with a line-up consisting of a singer, a backing vocalist, a drummer, a lead guitarist and band leader, and a low-key bassist. Despite their modest stage presence, their authenticity won over the audience. Their humility was palpable as they shared their journey, from their beginnings with a single guitar to opening for Imagine Dragons. The anecdote about the guitar with the hole in it touched hearts, setting the stage for the evening's stars.

At 9.30pm, Imagine Dragons took to the stage with "My Life", in a deluge of confetti. The energy was at its peak with songs like "Believer", "It's Time" and "I'm so sorry". Dan Reynolds, the charismatic lead singer, offered an intimate moment, singing "Thunder" a capella for a young fan, before returning to the stage with the band.

The evening was punctuated by highlights, including a vibrant tribute to Paris, their"favorite city in the world". The group expressed their gratitude to the French public for their warm welcome. Hit after hit: "Follow you", "Natural", "Next to me", before an acoustic interlude with "Symphony", "Waves" and "I bet my life".

The concert resumed with "Whatever it takes", followed by "Sharks" with a release of giant balloons in the hall, then "Enemy" and "Bad Liar". Dan Reynolds then delivered a poignant message on the importance of talking about one's emotions and seeking help for depression. A powerful moment which preceded the tracks "Demons" and "Bones".

If anyone of you feel depressed, anyone of you feel grey, please talk to someone! To a friend, to a therapist if you can afford it.

It is not make you weak ! It is not make you broken ! Please reach out please stay alive!

Stay with us, we need you!

After a brief encore, the band concluded with "Radioactive", "Walking the Wire" and a cover of "My Life". Dan Reynolds took advantage of this last track to sign autographs, before leaving the stage with his bandmates.

In conclusion, Imagine Dragons put on a generous show lasting over two hours, leaving the audience in awe. The only downside of the evening was the absence of the track "Zero".
