K-Pop invites itself to the Paris La Défense Arena this Sunday, October 15, 2023, for the "MCOUNTDOWN IN France". No fewer than 10 groups are expected to perform on the huge stage. So, what time should the gates open? When will the show start? How do you get to the venue, and what objects are prohibited? It's undoubtedly one of the most eagerly awaited musical events this autumn. This Sunday, October 15, 2023, Paris La Défense Arena, Europe's largest indoor venue, opens its doors to the " MCOUNTDOWNIn France", a huge K-pop show where big stars from the music world are expected to take to the stage.

In all, no fewer than 10 groups and artists have been announced for this major musical event, including Ateez, Psy, Dreamcatcher, El7z up and K-Tigers. For the full line-up, click here:

Needless to say, the atmosphere at Paris La Défense Arena is sure to be euphoric for this"MCOUNTDOWN In France". Fans are in the starting-blocks, eager to experience this evening of K-Pop in the flesh. But when are the doors due to open on October 15? When is the show due to start? How do you get to the venue, and what items are allowed and what are not? The Paris La Défense Arena has lifted the veil on the practical and useful information you need to know in order to best prepare for your visit.

First and foremost, the venue would like to remind you that all spectators under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult in possession of a valid ticket in the same seat as the minor.

Then, if you'd like to be among the first spectators to enter the hall, then you should know that Paris La Défense Arena will open its doors at 5pm, while the show will start at 7pm. " This concert will be recorded, so the time at which the show ends may depend on technical contingencies linked to the recording," the venue states on its website. However, we don't know theorder in which the artistswill perform. Note also that there will be no merchandising stand at this event.

Course of the evening:

  • 5:00 p.m.: Doors open to the general public
  • 7:00 pm: Show starts


However, Paris La Défense Arena advises fans not to arrive before 2pm. "If you arrive before 12:00, you will be moved to another area and risk losing your seat," adds the venue.

Another piece of information, and not the least, concerns transport to and from the venue. In view of the large crowds expected, the venue recommends that spectators use public transport to get to and from the Paris La Défense Arena. This is all the more important as work is planned on the ring road, which may " affect the flow of traffic around the venue ".

As a reminder, you can take metro line 1, RER line A, Tramway T2 or Transilien lines L and U.

Please note that Paris La Défense Arena has several different entrances, depending on where you sit in the hall. Therefore, " the colored access indicated on your ticket (yellow, red or purple) helps you to find your way around, but does not represent a compulsory passage point for screening ", explains the Paris La Défense Arena, which advises you to go directly to the entrances indicated below:

  • Entrances to the Standing 1 gold pit are via gate 32;
  • Entrances to the Standing 2 pit are via gate 33;
  • Entrances to level 1 (101 to 118) are via gates 5, 34 and 60;
  • Entrances to level 4 (401 to 421) will be via doors 8 and 56;
  • VIP entrances will be via door 21;
  • Access for people with disabilities and reduced mobility will be via :
    • Entrances 5 & 38 for level 1 tickets
    • Entrance 56 for level 4 tickets

On its website, Paris La Défense Arena also provides a list of prohibited items at concerts, "in accordance with legislation governing establishments open to the public ". Forbidden are " all dangerous and illicit objects that are bulky, that could be used as projectiles and that could be a danger to spectators, visitors or artists, or that could be diverted from their intended use for malicious purposes", such as bags and containers over 20 liters, bottles and flasks over 50 cl, helmets, alcoholic beverages, any object on wheels (skateboards, rollerblades, etc.), unauthorized cameras, rigid umbrellas, megaphones and foghorns.

On the other hand, gourds or plastic bottles of up to 50 cl (one gourd or bottle per person) and small bags or saddlebags with a maximum capacity of 20 liters per person are authorized, as are lightsticks.

Finally, once you've had your fill of the best tracks from your favorite K-pop artists, it's time to head back home, to La Défense station (Line 1 / RER A) if you're heading back to Paris (last metro stop 01:39, direction Château de Vincennes).

For all other directions, go to La Défense station for Transilien lines L and T2. " If you are taking public transport to Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Cergy and Poissy, you can get to Nanterre Préfecture station and take the RER A," adds Paris La Défense Arena.
