On the night of Sunday February 11 to Monday February 12, 2024, some of you probably stayed up to watch the Super Bowl live. This year, the most-watched sporting event across the Atlantic pitted the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers.
For the occasion, several channels enabled oval ball lovers to follow the Super Bowl from France. While the Kansas City Chiefs emerged victorious from this sporting encounter against the San Francisco 49ers (25-22), the Big Game was also marked by an incredible musical moment, namely Usher's live performance. After Madonna, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, The Weeknd, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna last year, Usher had the tough task of putting on a show during the traditional half-time show.
The global R&B star, chosen by the NFL to host the show, spared no expense for the occasion! During a 13-minute set, the artist from Dallas, Texas, played a succession of hits, 12 in all, including " U Don't Have To Call ", " Love In This Club ", " Burn " and " Caught Up ".
Usher - who released his new opus"Coming Home" on February 9 - also invited a host of talented artists, including Alicia Keys on " If I Ain't Got You " and " My Boo", as well as H.E.R on " U Got It Bad ", Black Eyed Peas ' will.i.am on " OMG ", Lil Jon and Ludacris on " Yeah! " and Lil Jon again on " Turn Down For What/Get Low " to round off his incredible set in style.
Dressed mostly in white, Usher 's set was dynamic overall, thanks to hits celebrating his 30-year career and prestigious guests invited for the occasion. And let's not forget Usher 's pretty dance moves on rollerblades!
In the stands, the stars were obviously out in force for this Super Bowl final, with Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, and above all Taylor Swift, who came to cheer on her partner, Travis Kelce, a player with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Before the show, the audience was treated to performances by Andra Day, Post Malone and country star Reba McEntire.
