Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds at the Accor Arena in Paris: what's the opening act?

It was a comeback fans had been eagerly awaiting. Back in March, Nick Cave announced that he would be returning to the stage with The Bad Seeds for the release of a new opus and a European tour that would include a stop in Paris. In the French capital, Nick Cave and his bandmates will meet up with their fans for a one-off show scheduled for Sunday November 17, 2024 at theAccor Arena. This will be an opportunity for Nick Cave and his band The Bad Seeds, made up of Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey, Jim Sclavunos, George Vjestica, Larry Mullins and Carly Paradis, to perform some of their legendary old songs on stage, as well as unveiling new compositions from their new album"Wild God".

But before Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds take to the stage at theAccor Arena in Paris, fans will be treated to an opening act. For this major European tour, Nick Cave and his cohorts have announced different opening acts for each city. In the French capital, audiences will be able to discover British post-rock black country outfit New Road.

Also known by the acronyms BCNR or BC,NR, this band hails from Cambridge in the UK. Formed in 2018, Black Country, New Road consists of six members: Tyler Hyde, Lewis Evans, Georgia Ellery, May Kershaw, Charlie Wayne and Luke Mark. Today, the band has two albums to its credit:"For the First Time", released in 2021, and"Ants from Up There", released in 2022, both signed to Ninja Tune. On February 20, Black Country, New Road also released a live album recorded at London's Bush Hall in December 2022.

Thanks to their effective post-rock sound and a number of acclaimed singles, including " The Place Where He Inserted the Blade ", " Opus " and " Concorde ", Black Country, New Road is gradually making its mark on the music scene.

This opportunity to open for Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and support their Paris show on November 17 will give Black Country, New Road a chance to show what they can do live, and perhaps win over some new fans in France.
