What a show! System of a Down rattled the Stade de France on July 2, 2026, the first of two Paris gigs. After nine years away, the metal quartet—comprising Serj Tankian, Daron Malakian, Shavo Odadjian, and John Dolmayan—unleashed a hyper-powered set on Thursday night, in front of ecstatic fans, in a high-voltage atmosphere. We were there! Here’s the setlist from the Stade de France show on Thursday night.
In dazzling form, the American group unleashed a blistering, contagious energy as it rolled through some of its biggest hits from the late 1990s and early 2000s. After a starter on "X", System of a Down pressed ahead with "Prison Song", "Violent Pornography", "Mr. Jack" and "I-E-A-I-A-I-O". The peak moment came with "B.Y.O.B.", "Hypnotize", "Chop Suey!", "Lonely Day" and "Aerials", not to mention the relentless "Toxicity" and "Sugar" to close out the set.
Note that this setlist wasn’t identical to the one played in Stockholm on June 29, the tour’s opening date. The order was shuffled and some tracks were dropped, replaced for the occasion by others. In the Swedish capital, SOAD notably performed "Genocidal Humanoidz", "ATWA", "Spiders" and "War?". In Paris, the American act opted to let the Stade de France ring out with songs like "Roulette", "Cigaro" or "Tentative". This Saturday, July 4, 2026, for System of a Down’s second show in Seine-Saint-Denis, the setlist could again evolve. If you’d rather keep the surprise until showtime, you may want to stop reading now. For the curious, here’s a look at the tracks performed by SOAD on July 2 at the Stade de France.
