On Sunday, October 11, 2026, Korean urban dance takes center stage at the Urban Châtelet festival. The Théâtre du Châtelet will host a major show that spotlights two essential urban scenes: Korea and France, exchanging moves in a dialogue of choreography, improvisation, and the battle-ready spirit of breaking. A must-see event, with stunning performances on the bill!

After two inaugural editions in 2024 and 2025, Urban Pulse Uprising II is back at the Théâtre du Châtelet on Sunday, October 11, 2026! Organized by the Centre Culturel Coréen, to mark the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France, this evening dedicated to urban dance celebrates the artistic ties between the two countries, bringing together two crews from the hip‑hop scene: Wanted Posse, a major figure in French urban dance, and Just Jerk, one of the most recognized collectives on the Korean scene.

On the agenda, performances drawn from their own repertoires and a friendly battle bringing together top dancers, plus exceptional masterclasses, alongside the Korean crew. Wanted Posse, a true pioneer of French hip-hop, was founded in 1993 by Ahmada Bahassane, at the crossroads of hip-hop, house dance, and break. As for Just Jerk, he rose to international prominence thanks to his win at the Body Rock Dance Competition in 2016, his appearance on America’s Got Talent, and his victory on Street Man Fighter in 2022.

Prices start at €5 (and up to €35)

Since breaking was added to the Paris 2024 Olympic program, this edition further spotlights an urban culture now recognized on the world’s biggest stages, bringing together diverse choreographic worlds.

Chudahye Chagis at the Guimet Museum

If you want even more Korean culture, note that the Korean Cultural Center is offering a musical outing that breaks with the usual concert format.
