Andréa Bescond returns to the Paris stage with Les Chatouilles or the Dance of Anger, at the Théâtre de l’Œuvre from September 14 to December 21, 2026. Written and performed by the dancer and actress, directed by Éric Métayer, this solo show blends theatre and dance to recount the violence endured in childhood and the journey toward healing.
Odette was eight when Gilbert, a family friend, began taking her into secret “tickling” sessions. Hidden behind that word are acts of sexual violence whose consequences shadow her life. As she grows into a dancer, she fights to break the silence. On stage, Andréa Bescond renders this story through words and movement, embodying the various characters who accompany Odette on her journey.
Created in 2014, this autobiographical show won the Molière for Best One-Man Show in 2016. It later spawned the film Les Chatouilles, released in 2018 and co-directed by Andréa Bescond and Éric Métayer.
This revival is aimed at adults and teens aged 16 and up, given the sexual violence depicted. The show runs for 1 hour 45 minutes. Performances take place on certain Mondays at 9:00 p.m., according to the ticketing calendar.
