After Charles Péguy (in Charles Péguy le visionnaire) and Anna Karenine, Laetitia Gonzalbes tackles a new cultural figure: Erik Satie .
Erik Satie was an extraordinary composer. A virtuoso avant-gardist, he composed music that is still played the world over, such as the famous Gymnopédies and the Gnossiennes. A free man, he turned his life into a novel, with humor and lightness, and was a friend of the great artists of his time, such as Debussy, Cocteau, Picasso and Ravel, to name but a few.
In 'Je m'appelle Erik Satie comme tout le monde', Laetitia Gonzalbes tells and stages the life of this original man, through a fictional account that is full of irony, surprises, music and aesthetics... just like the composer himself!
The lead role is played by Elliot Jenicot, a former resident of the Comédie Française, who forms a highly successful duo with young actress Anaïs Yazit .
A stage biopic of Erik Satie's life, romanticized, musical, ironic and moving, to be discovered from May 1 to June 16, at the Théâtre de la Contrescarpe, every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 9pm, Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 6:30pm.
