It's been around for over 50 years! Le Lucernaire was created in 1969, and is one of the few cinemas in Paris to have several different spaces in a single location. At Le Lucernaire, you'll find no fewer than 6 different areas: a cinema, a theater, an exhibition space, a bookshop, a bar and a restaurant.
In addition to the cinema and theater, the Lucernaire has a space upstairs where photo exhibitions take place. And if you're feeling peckish in between all these activities, the restaurant on the first floor awaits you. You can also take advantage of the bar and happy hour before the show, with very attractive prices for the 6th arrondissement.
A few blocks from the Lucernaire cinema, you'll also find another art-house cinema: the MK2 Parnasse. As for sightseeing, you're just a 6-minute walk from the famous Luxembourg Gardens, home to the Palais du Luxembourg, the Senate and a new virtual reality center. You can also visit the Tour Montparnasse or see a show at the Grand Point-Virgule theater, both just an 11-minute walk from the cinema.
