The one-man show La Révolution Française recounts one of the most captivating chapters in French history, calling on the great writers of the 19th century, such as Hugo, Michelet and Lamartine. Using literary extracts, Maxime d'Aboville attempts to paint a rich, vibrant and epic picture of those five years that turned the world upside down. From the storming of the Bastille to the bloody fall of Robespierre, via the abolition of privileges, the end of the monarchy and the revolutionary terrors, Maxime d'Aboville passionately resumes his project for Lessons in French History.
Maxime d'Aboville, an actor renowned for his theatrical work, notably his Leçons d'histoire, in which he revisits major historical events through literary texts, trained at the Cours Simon. The actor has distinguished himself in classical and contemporary roles, on Parisian stages as well as at the Comédie-Française. In 2015, he was awarded the Molière for Best Actor for his role in The Servant, then the same prize in 2022 for his role in Berlin Berlin. He is now back on stage alone with his play La Révolution Francaise at the Théâtre Hébertot .
