If you like to be moved at the theater, you'll love Les Gratitudes! Adapting Delphine de Vigan's book, Fabien Gorgeart directs the talented Catherine Hiegel and Laure Blatter in a moving tale of reparation. The play runs at Théâtre Petit Saint-Martin from March 5 to April 27, 2025.
Les Gratitudes tells the story of Michka (played by Catherine Hiegel), an elderly woman who is gradually losing the use of words due to a neurological disease. Accompanied by Marie (played by Laure Blatte), a young woman who visits her, and Jérôme (played by Pascal Sangla), a kindly speech therapist, Michka revisits vivid memories and expresses regrets, while strengthening tender relationships. A deeply moving play, back at Théâtre Petit Saint-Martin for a new season.

This novel by Delphine de Vigan reminds us how small gestures and simple words can nourish the soul and bring comfort. Published in 2019, Les Gratitudes delicately explores the themes of memory, gratitude and human ties. The performance by Catherine Hiegel, Laure Blatter and Pascal Sangla gives pride of place to song and music, as a counterpoint to words that are lost. Les Gratitudes will be presented at the Théâtre du Petit Saint-Martin in spring 2025.
