Based on an original text written for fourteen young actors from the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique, Portrait de famille revisits the founding myths with an unabashed freedom of tone. Infanticide, betrayal, sacrifice, incest, parricide and cannibalism haunt an infernal genealogy in which human passions collide in an explosive mix of the fantastic, the political and the intimate. The show blends tragedy and comedy, in a generous, baroque style that questions our relationship with violence, filiation and collective memory.
