Presented at La Scène Libre from June 4 to 29, 2025, Nuisibles traces the escape of five teenagers locked up in a penal colony. A creation by Collectif Crapules, between raw poetry and painful memory.

In Nuisibles, director Léonore Philibert and the Collectif Crapules revisit a forgotten episode in French history: the revolt of 56 teenagers who escaped from the penal colony of Belle-Île-en-Mer in 1934. To be seen at La Scène Libre from June 4 to 29, 2025, this play combines historical narrative, sensitive testimony and theatrical energy to give voice to yesterday's "undesirables" - young people who were silenced, locked up, repressed and made invisible.

1934, Belle-Île-en-Mer. A spectacular escape: 56 young people escape from the penal colony where they were imprisoned. Nuisibles takes up this reality to follow five of them on stage. For one night, between forest and shore, they dream, flee and free themselves. The text blends youthful insouciance with the seriousness of institutional repression, moving back and forth between past and present, the intimate and the collective. The show would be a scenic fugue, an attempt at freedom from the brutality of confinement.

The play would appeal to all those who are moved and questioned by theater: adult audiences, young spectators aged 14 and over, teachers, educators, fans of engaged storytelling. The show could particularly appeal to those interested in social issues, collective memory and dynamic, physical theatrical forms. Alizée Murat's choreography and Valentine Ceria's lighting design would contribute to this constant tension between gentleness and violence, between story and sensation.
