The FoRTE exhibition returns for a 5th edition at the Frac Île-de-France reserves: the region presents works by the winners of the Fonds régional des talents émergents, from November 25 to December 16, 2023.

Lovers of contemporary art are invited to the reserves of the Frac Île-de-France, in Romainville, to discover the young talents and great artists of tomorrow. Once again, these creators, aged between 18 and 30, are featured in the FoRTE#5 exhibition, organized from November 25 to December 16, 2023. This free exhibition showcases the work of the visual arts laureates of the new promotion of the Fonds régional des talents émergents (FoRTE). This special grant, awarded to young French and international artists, was created on the initiative of the Île-de-France Region and co-financed by the French Ministry of Culture.

Each year, this fund gives around forty artists the means to produce their first work in the region, thanks to substantial financial support, as well as professional accompaniment throughout their creation, for one year. Visual arts, cinema and audiovisual arts, performing arts, music: the field of possibilities is wide, and the works on offer are each more different than the last.

For this fifth edition of the FoRTE exhibition, 38 entries were selected by the jury from 133 eligible submissions. Of these, seven have been chosen for the exhibition installed in the FRAC Île-de-France storerooms: these are the creators in the visual arts who are highlighted during this artistic rendezvous.

Among the works and artists to be discovered at this exhibition are L. Camus-Govoroff with her installation "Dans les hautes herbes nous nous sommes frôlés", Nina Chalot and her installation/performance "Le tapis brodé", Lucie Douriaud and her installation "The Next Oil", Gabriel Moraes Aquino with his immersive installation "Sol, sol, sol sur la tête", Camille Juthier and her exhibition "Dancing Cells", Jacques-Marie Ligot and his book "Atlas des gestes", and finally Winnie Mo Rielly and her installation "La vie en soi à travers toi, découle d'une vision hors champs".

Innovative contemporary art, young talents to discover, a free exhibition: all the elements are there to make us have a good time. We're off to the FRAC in Romainville to discover this artistic event.
