How about an exhibition of works by Japanese and Parisian artists? Head to the Halle des Blancs Manteaux, in Paris's 4th arrondissement, for the free Japan Art Festival. Not to be missed from Friday, September 19 to Sunday, September 21, 2025, this event honors Japanese art in all its forms: calligraphy, photography, painting (oil, acrylic, nihonga, sumi-e, watercolor), poetry (haiku, tanka) and sculpture... a total of 289 works will be presented at the Halle des Blancs Manteaux from September 19 to 21, 2025.
With free admission, the Japan Art Festival is an invitation to discover traditional and contemporary works of art by artists from Japan and France. While the works of Japanese artists will be on display during the three-day festival, those of Parisian artists will also be honored, with 36 works, including 11 haikus, the famous poems of Japanese tradition. These 36 works exhibited at the Halle des Blancs Manteaux will also be presented to the public in Tokyo at the end of the year, as part of a joint event with Japanese artists.
Art, literature and great encounters in prospect... that's what the Japan Art Festival is offering you for this new Parisian edition. Join us on Friday, September 19 (12pm to 7pm), Saturday, September 20 (11am to 5pm) and Sunday, September 21 (11am to 5pm) at the Halle des Blancs Manteaux. And since it's free, you'd be wrong to miss out!
