The great masters and pastry chefs gather at the gallery of the Espace Thorigny to present a unique exhibition. From April 19 to May 7, 2023, come and admire The Egg, by a master's hand, an exhibition made with real chocolate creations...

Yes, chocolate is a real work of art, and it's not just our stomachs that tell us so! Pastry chef Frédéric Bau proves it with his unusual exhibition, to be discovered at theEspace Thorigny gallery, from April 19 to May 7, 2023. Accompanied by more than fifty artists and craftsmen, Frédéric Bau unveils L'œuf, a free exhibition that highlights works made entirely of chocolate!

Art and delicacy come together in this original exhibition, where chocolate eggs are transformed into magnificent sculptures. These sweets, most often associated with Easter, seem quite commonplace: they can be found everywhere, in all shapes and forms, for all tastes.

But the fifty or so eggs presented in this exhibition have nothing to do with the sweets of our childhood. These eggs are real works of art, worked, sculpted, embellished by masters with unique know-how.

A symbol of creation, rebirth and life, the egg has inspired 43 pastry and chocolate artisans and a dozen contemporary artists. Among the participants, we find Pierre Hermé, Nina Métayer, Quentin Lechat, Maxence Barbot, Pierre Marcolini, Matthieu Carlin, Mélanie Lhéritier, Christine Lambert, Jean-Bernard Lassara, Bruno Catalano...

Chocolate creations are mixed with photographs, sculptures, paintings and ceramics, in this atypical exhibition. This artistic event is already surprising. But it's not over yet: in a spirit of waste reduction, all these works were created with recycled chocolate, resulting from the recovery of manufacturing waste. So don't worry: no chocolate was wasted in the making of this exhibition!

For these chocolate makers, this exhibition is also a moment of sharing. Traditionally, the Easter period is for them the occasion to show all their talents, and to share their creations with the gourmets. Their talent takes on a new form here, more spectacular, more artistic.

Please note that reservations are required to enter the exhibition. Don't miss this artistic and unusual event: run to visit the exhibition The Egg, by a master's hand.
