The Templon Gallery welcomes the world's greatest contemporary art artists. From May 24 to July 22, 2023, the American artist Will Cotton will show us his world with the exhibition Trigger.

In Paris, art galleries are legion, but some stand out from the crowd. One of these is the Templon Gallery, which has earned an international reputation for its outstanding programming and world-renowned artists.

Today, the Templon Gallery has offices in Brussels, New York, and Paris (one in Beaubourg, the other on rue du Grenier Saint-Lazard). Founded in 1966, the gallery is not yet 60 years old: it continues to welcome and highlight the greatest contemporary artists of its time, thus maintaining its reputation as an essential art gallery in Paris.

Its track record is impressive: Christian Boltanski, Joseph Kosuth, Willem de Kooning, Frank Stella, Andy Warhol, Christian Boltanski, Ben, Roy Lichtenstein, Daniel Buren, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Joel Shapiro, Georg Baselitz, Chapman brothers, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Pierre et Gilles and many others have exhibited within its walls. Young novices or recognized masters, these artists from all over the world find their place in this gallery dedicated to "classic" or innovativecontemporary art.

To this long list of names is added a new visitor. The Templon gallery welcomes the American Will Cotton, from May 24 to July 22, 2023, for an astonishing and delirious exhibition. Discover Trigger, a free exhibition that challenges American myths.

At first glance, visiting a Will Cotton exhibition is like diving into a cotton candy bar, or Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Pastel colors, round world, unicorns and cake crowns... It's every child's paradise. But if you take a closer look, you'll realize that appearances are deceptive.

Will Cotton pokes fun at American clichés and myths, the better to dismantle them and point out society's failings. The images and messages oppose and contradict each other, and our beliefs are questioned.

The artist uses pop culture and icons from the world of advertising to stage his subjects. Feminism or provocative cowgirl, queer and egalitarian struggles or traditional roles, gun ownership, wealth and abundance... Will Cotton parallels the worlds of yesterday and today, the fantasies and realities that surround this often idealized country.

An exhibition full ofhumor and color, to discover without delay!
