Permis de démolir: the immersive and committed street art exhibition in Val-de-Marne, reopening

This autumn, street art invites itself back to Val-de-Marne for the reopening of an immersive and committed exhibition. Entitled "Permis de démolir", this artistic project brings together some one hundred artists around Haïm Adri's house, which is about to disappear. In view of its success this summer, the event is back for just a few days before drawing to a close. Here's everything you need to know!

It's the return of a not-to-be-missed artistic event in the Paris region this autumn. From September 23 to October 15, 2023, and exclusively on weekends, the public is invited to (re)discover"Permis de démolir", an immersive and engaging street art exhibition. The idea behind the project? To bring together a number of well-known, emerging and local street artists, painters, sculptors and performers in the house of artist Haïm Adri, located in Champigny-sur-Marne, in the Val-de-Marne region of France.

The house and adjoining theater were built 25 years ago by Haïm. He thus " made each of his spaces his own, adorning them with moldings and artistic creations that are personal to him and not recognized as works to be protected by the Grand Paris," he explains on the"Permis de démolir" exhibition's Instagram page. Unfortunately, this house and theater will be destroyed as part of the Grand Paris project.

Haïm Adri, Candice Zastera and Gaïa Adri therefore decided to organize an original exhibition, inviting around a hundred artists to take over 650 m² of interior and exterior space, and to invest each area of their intimacy on a voluntary and committed basis, thus proposing an artistic mobilization metamorphosing their home and theater (l'espace Philia) before demolition.

This summer, for just over a month, the public was able to admire works by artists from the world of street art, as well as painters, sculptors and video artists. For this event, Haïm and Candice wanted a real artistic mix. The youngest artist is 17, while the oldest is close to 80.

Louyz, Demoiselle MM, Mr Byste, Ensemble Réel in collaboration with Wèkup, Jean-Charles Romero, Drash La Krass, Remi Cierco and Claks One are just some of the artists who answered Haïm's call.
