The permanent collections of the Musée de l'Histoire de l'Immigration are finally reopening. To celebrate, the cultural center is opening its doors to the public free of charge this weekend, June 17 and 18, 2023.

Over a year's work to modernize and rethink the permanent collections... After a long closure, the Musée de l'Histoire de l'Immigration will finally reopen its doors on Saturday June 17, 2023. And because this event deserves to be celebrated, the art and culture museum is organizing a big party!

On the weekend of June 17 and 18, 2023, the museum is free to all visitors. During these two days, the doors are open to all, so that we can enjoy the revisited collections and the different spaces of the museum. A very special program is planned for this weekend of celebrations... We tell you all about it.

Performances, guided or self-guided tours, readings, a musical evening: everything is designed to please and inspire us to explore this brand-new museum in the heart of the Palais de la Porte Dorée. Although admission to the museum is free all weekend long, we strongly advise you to reserve your ticket for easier access to certain activities. Here are the details of the weekend's program.

  • Saturday June 17 and Sunday June 18 I 10am to 7pm
    Visit the museum's new permanent exhibition
    The Musée national de l'histoire de l'immigration reopens its permanent gallery with a completely renewed space. A mediation program accessible to all will be offered free of charge throughout the weekend. Our mediators will help you understand the history of immigration around the 11 key dates of the exhibition.

  • Saturday June 17 I 3pm to 5pm
    Forum: Néo Géo program hosted by Bintou Simporé
    The Néo Géo program, broadcast on Radio Nova and presented by Bintou Simporé, sets up in the Forum with artists and personalities to discuss the inauguration and offer live sessions in public. Attend this meeting, recorded under live conditions.

  • Saturday June 17 I 7pm to 11pm
    Poisson Lune: Get a Room! x Radio Nova party
    End your visit to the museum with a stop on the terrace: Get a Room! the duo formed by Aurélien Haas and Jeff Larsson, perform live on Radio Nova's national stations and from Poisson Lune, a musical trip in the form of a long, danceable, committed and terribly sensual sonic ballad! Enjoy it until nightfall, or continue the party with the Radio Nova Soundsystem DJ set.

  • Sunday June 18 I from 2.30pm
    Forum: Open stage hosted by Raphäl Yem
    Raphäl Yem presents an open stage, featuring personalities whose work or life stories echo migration issues, to share their stories, analyses and points of view. Guest of honor Jean-Pascal Zadi will accompany this open stage to meet guests from the artistic, humanitarian, historical and cultural worlds who shed light on a part of our history or current affairs. For twenty minutes or so, several personalities will be able to exchange ideas with each other and with visitors, before giving way to the next set of guests.
    Four guest performances will punctuate this open stage: dance with Rana Gorgani, a reading with Pauline Panassenko and an extract from the Aquarius show.

Please note that the Aquarium de la Porte Dorée will be open to the public this weekend. Make the most of this free museum!
