Festive and free weekend at La Monnaie de Paris: Celebrate La Fête des Pîtres

This weekend, June 24 and 25, La Monnaie de Paris invites you to take a trip back in time. Celebrate the 1159th anniversary of its creation by the Edict of Pîtres with a range offree events to delight the curious of all ages. From artistic workshops to demonstrations and concerts, there's something for everyone!

On the program for this festive weekend at La Monnaie de Paris :

• Museum visit: immerse yourself in the history of coins and precious metals. Mediators will be on hand to answer your questions. (June 24 and 25, 11am-12pm and 2pm-5pm, no reservation required).

• Treasure hunt : Go on a mission in the Cour d'honneur of the Monnaie de Paris, solve riddles and try to win the Pactole (June 24 and 25, 2.30-5.30pm, no reservation required).
  
• Concert by students from the 6th arrondissement conservatory: Listen to "short musical sketches" by a clarinet and saxophone ensemble. (June 24, 3pm and 4pm, no reservation required).
  
• La Cour des contes : Let yourself be transported by the poetic and humorous stories told by the storytellers of La Cour des contes. (June 24 and 25, 3:30pm/16:30pm/17:30pm, no advance booking required).
  
• Engraving demonstration : Discover the secrets behind the making of the Mint with a demonstration of direct-cut engraving. (June 24 and 25, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2-6 p.m., no reservations required).
