La Monnaie de Paris invites you to take part in the new edition of its Fête des Pîtres, on Saturday June 14 and Sunday June 15, 2025. Over a whole weekend, enjoy free events, exhibitions and concerts for the whole family.
La Monnaie de Paris celebrates its anniversary this June... And it has a very special name. The French monetary institution was created on June 25, 864, thanks to theEdict of Pîtres, promulgated by King Charles II. Every year, the Monnaie de Paris invites us to celebrate the Fête des Pîtres, with a festive weekend full of surprises...
This year, La Monnaie de Paris is celebrating its 1,161th anniversary on the weekend of June 14 and 15, 2025. So we're gearing up for a whole host of fun, educational and artistic activities with friends and family at this unique Parisian museum. Need I remind you that the Monnaie de Paris and its activities are entirely free of charge during this special weekend? You really can't miss it!
So, what can we expect this anniversary weekend? Tours, games, concerts, crafts, demonstrations... There's something for every taste, and every age. To make sure you can enjoy all these activities, remember to book your admission ticket in advance.

Saturday, June 14th
- La Soirée en or
Enjoy a festive and convivial evening for the Hôtel de La Monnaie anniversary, punctuated by gastronomic and musical entertainment! Don't forget to come dressed in your brightest and best... And don't hesitate to bring your own picnic if you feel like it!

Giant blind test and food area in the Cour d'Honneur!

- Treasure hunt
Go on a treasure hunt in the museum and outside courtyards to discover the secrets of this mysterious building, home to centuries-old know-how, and leave richer than you found...

- Magic animation with Pierre-Marie Lazarro
Can you see it?You don't see it anymore? Attend magic sessions that will take you back to wonderland...

- Torchlight guided tour
An outdoor tour in the half-light, allowing you to discover the architectural lines, style, décor and surprising, telling details of the Hôtel de la Monnaie!

Sunday, June 15
- Concert
Concert by students from the 6th arrondissement conservatory
Every year, the Conservatory steps outside its walls to take part in local events. It's an opportunity for students to take advantage of a local stage and audience, and to share their many talents. On Sunday June 15, the Conservatoire joins forces with La Monnaie de Paris to celebrate the Fête des Pîtres. Come and listen to the classical symphony orchestra and the baroque orchestra.

Go on a hunt in the museum and outside courtyards to discover the secrets of this mysterious building, home to centuries-old know-how, and leave richer than when you came in...

Young and old alike are invited to stop by the "Paillettes d'amour" stand, which will add a little color to your eyes...

- Demonstration of skills
In the heart of the museum, in the large hall of the Manufacture, a demonstration of the skills of La Monnaie de Paris allows you to discover the different stages in the manufacture of coins and medals. Watch a craftsman at work and ask him your questions!
