La Monnaie de Paris transforms itself into an open-air cinema for four exceptional evenings, offering a unique experience in its majestic Cour d'Honneur. Through a selection of emblematic films, this event takes you on a journey through the ages, echoing the 250-year history of the institution, which has never stopped minting money on the Quai de Conti.
The festivities begin each evening at 7pm, with musical entertainment and food-trucks to tempt attendees before the screenings start at 9:30pm.
On July 23, open the ball with Milos Forman's masterpiece Amadeus (1984). This baroque fresco plunges you into the tormented life of composer Mozart, between musical genius and destructive jealousy.
On July 24, experience the epic adventure of the all-new Comte de Monte-Cristo (2024), directed by Alexandre de La Patellière and Matthieu Delaporte. A grand tale of vengeance and redemption, starring Pierre Niney in the title role.
On July 25, Jean-Marie Poiré's cult comedy Les Visiteurs (1993) takes center stage. Follow the misadventures of Godefroy de Montmirail and Jacquouille la Fripouille, catapulted from the Middle Ages to the present day in a hilarious clash of cultures.
On July 26, wrap things up in style with Christopher Nolan's sci-fi film Inception (2010). Between interlocking dreams and distorted realities, embark on a breathtaking cerebral thriller.
This series of open-air screenings is ideal for families, friends and all cinema lovers. The films chosen cross genres and eras, guaranteeing a convivial and festive atmosphere. If you've enjoyed events like Cinéma en plein air de la Villette or films like Gladiator and Interstellar, you'll love these evenings at La Monnaie de Paris.
