The other side of the coin: an exhibition with athletes to raise awareness of cyberbullying

On February 6 and 7, 2024, to mark Safer Internet Day, an exhibition will be set up on the forecourt of Saint-Denis Town Hall, to raise awareness around online harassment, in partnership with French athletes.

Cyberbullying is a real scourge, affecting everyone from normal social network users to celebrities. To mark Safer Internet Day, a day of prevention against online harassment, eight French athletes, partners of Allianz insurance, are presenting an open-access exhibition to raise public awareness on the subject, with insults they themselves have received on the Internet during their careers. Join us on the forecourt of Saint-Denis Town Hall on February 6 and 7, 2024 to discover their testimonials in"Le revers de la médaille".

This awareness-raising campaign uses reproductions of the medals of these top athletes, engraved on the back with striking and very real insults. More than 4 out of 10 French people say they have been victims of cyber-violence, especially 18-24 year-olds, LGBTQI+ or racialized people and young women. With the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games this year, who better than our French athletes to bear witness to cyberbullying?

The athletes featured in this exhibition

  • Clarisse Agbégnénou (judo)
  • Antoine Adelisse (freestyle skiing)
  • Oscar Burnham (para alpine skiing)
  • Carlota Dudek (breaking)
