From September 4 to 13, 2025, Paris goes into creative effervescence for Paris Design Week! For ten days, the city pulsates to the rhythm of design in all its forms: furniture, fashion, architecture, decoration and new technologies come together in a buzz of exhibitions, art installations, conferences and workshops. It's a time when ideas take shape and today's talents imagine tomorrow's objects. And the best part? Most events are free! From contemporary art galleries to ephemeral showrooms, secret spots and little-known addresses, Paris reveals itself in a whole new light.
This year's colorful stopover in the 6th arrondissement is the Centre tchèque. This creative meeting place invites visitors to plunge into an ocean ofblue inspiration through a series of exhibitions devoted to contemporary textile and glass design. The event opens on September 5 and runs beyond Paris Design Week, until October 18, 2025. It kicks off on Thursday, September 4, from 6 to 9 p.m., with an opening reception attended by the curators and artists, and a DJ Merco set.
On the program: Out of the Blue, an installation by Marcel Mochal and Stanislav Holý with students from Jan Evangelista Purkyně University. Glass becomes a messenger of emotions, oscillating between object, experience and product. Next, Rozália Tóvaj reinvents the Hungarian tradition of indigo dyeing "kékfestés" with 3D printing, revealing sculptural textiles where tradition meets modernity.
