Contemporary art, new technologies and the automobile come together once again on the Champs-Élysées, after the success of the first edition of the pop art car exhibition. From Thursday September 24, 2026 to Sunday, January 31, 2027, pop art car 2.0 takes place at the Défilé Renault®, at 53 avenue des Champs-Élysées (Paris 8th). This new free exhibition dives into Pop culture in the age of screens, algorithms and artificial intelligence, while building bridges with the history of optical and kinetic art.
For pop art car 2.0, the défilé renault® and the Fonds Renault pour l’Art et la Culture invited artists Sébastien Preschoux (from the optical and kinetic art scene) and Popay (a key figure in the French underground movement) to push the boundaries of their practice by exploring a new playing field: digital creation.
Algorithms developed especially by the creative studio Bonjour Lab, based on their artistic processes, allowed them to explore new possibilities. Their moving works are notably showcased on the big screens of the défilé renault®.
The exhibition also places the works of Victor Vasarely and Julio Le Parc. The route thus reveals Vasarely's optical games as well as Julio Le Parc's explorations of movement.
If you add to that Popay's geometric landscapes and the line networks of Sébastien Preschoux, you have four artists and four approaches brought together around geometry, color, repetition, and motion.

The automotive world is also making its mark. Renault, the diamond-branded name, unveils the Renault 8 Gordini Concept in a world premiere since September 24. This show-car offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the iconic Renault 8 Gordini, with a nod to the café racer trend. Several references to the 1964 model are carried over, including the original badge stripes and the double white stripe, now woven into the design’s framework.

Also worth noting in October is the arrival of a new art car created in collaboration with an artist as part of the exhibition pop art car 2.0.
