How about a Tuesday evening like no other? From April 22 to May 13, 2025, theHôtel Pereire, in Paris's 8th arrondissement, opens its doors (and its history!) for four very special evenings. On the program? A theatrical, immersive dive orchestrated by the Troupe du Bal Saint-Bonnet, led by Marie-Laure Saint-Bonnet. Suffice it to say, it's sure to be a spectacle!
Nestled a stone's throw from Parc Monceau, this architectural gem by William Bouwens van der Boijen was built between 1879 and 1881 for Émile Pereire. Does the name ring a bell? Of course it does! Along with his brother Isaac, this visionary shaped the economy of the 19th century and contributed to the development of the neighborhood. Trains, finance, real estate... these two didn't do things by halves!
But the story doesn't end there. Themansion has seen the likes of the Direction de la Sidérurgie and Charbonnages de France, before becoming the headquarters of the Fondation Simone et Cino Del Duca, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
To enter theHôtel Pereire is to embark on a journey into the past. Thanks to hand-crafted staging, the stones whisper, the characters come to life and every nook and cranny tells a story.
Don't let the story pass you by, book your place and let yourself be surprised!
