Malowe Nature's 3 fishing ponds are located in the Vaucouleurs valley, 35 minutes from La Défense, west of Paris, between Mantes-la-Jolie and Houdan. Whether you're a fishing enthusiast or you'd like to discover a new activity, there's everything you need to enjoy a great day out with friends and family. The fully equipped 6-hectare grounds are ideal for the whole family.
If you don't want to bring your own tackle, you can hire a fishing rod on site, and you'll find plenty of bait (mealworms, worms and trout pastes) to spend the morning fishing for your mid-day pittance. If you've never fished before, don't worry! You can take advantage of an on-site initiation at no extra charge!
At lunchtime, you can sit down at one of the picnic tables or at the water 's edge and grill meat and fish on the barbecues available. If you're not a cordon-bleu fan, don't worry, the snack bar also offers a range of snacks: home fries, garden salad,fish & chips trout, hamburger...
Malowe Nature is also a permaculture farm, producing vegetables and fruit according to permaculture principles. Permaculture is a holistic, systemic approach to designing systems (such as human settlements and agricultural systems, but it can be applied to any system) based on natural ecology (biomimicry or ecomimicry) and tradition.
Educational tours are organized from time to time, and local produce is sold according to the season! Children can also feed the mini-farm animals, take part in workshops and have fun on theplayground.
Access for the mobility-impaired has also been facilitated: they can drive themselves or be driven by car to their fishing spot, where they will be given all the help they need.
