The Fête de la Nature, an annual celebration dedicated to the discovery and protection of biodiversity, is back. This year, the Bois de Morval in Guiry-en-Vexin in the Val-d'Oise is offering a village of free events to discover this Saturday, May 25, 2024, discover the program.

We're off to Val-d'Oise this week, this Saturday May 25, to celebrate nature at the Fête de la Nature 2024. Nestled in the heart of the French Vexin Regional Nature Park, the Bois de Morval offers an exceptional setting for a wide range of activities.

Fête de la Nature festivities in Morval Forest

On Saturday, May 25, from 10am to 5pm, Morval Wood opens its doors to you for a day full of discoveries and free activities. Come and explore this magnificent wood on an exceptional day. Some activities are limited in number, so book early .

  • Wool shearing and spinning
    At Ferme des Puits, visitors of all ages can discover the shepherd's trade with a special presentation. A wool-shearing demonstration will take place from 10am to 12pm, followed by a spinning demonstration from 2pm.

  • All sounds are in nature
    From 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., take part in a sound journey through the senses, with sound demonstrations and bird song-making workshops. This activity, open to all, will allow you to discover the richness of nature's sounds.

  • Climb and soar
    For thrill-seekers, Escal'Grimpe offers an introduction to rock climbing in the great outdoors from 11am to 4:30pm. Children aged 6 and over and adults can try their hand at this sporting activity.

  • Pond dwellers and dragonflies on the move
    Discover the fascinating dragonflies and damselflies during one-hour sessions at 11am, 2pm and 3:30pm. Organized by Ferme d'Écancourt, this activity puts the spotlight on these colorful predators. Groups are limited to 20 people, and the minimum age for participation is 6.

  • In the shoes of an archer
    Les Archers de Guiry invite you to an introduction to archery in the forest, from 2pm to 5pm. Children aged 9 and over and adults can test their skills in this exciting activity.

  • Discover the covered alley and cultural curiosities of Morval
    Accompanied by a guide, discover the covered alley, a vestige of the Neolithic period, during one-hour walks at 2pm and 4pm. You can then continue your exploration of the site with a treasure hunt. Organized by the Musée archéologique de Guiry-en-Vexin, this activity is open to children aged 7 and over, with groups of up to 20 people.

The stand village is located in the orchard, about 20 minutes' walk from the parking lot. For your convenience, a carriage shuttle will be available between the parking lot and the orchard.
