Built in an astonishing neo-Gothic style, the Fountain of the Virgin stands not far from another Gothic monument: the Cathedral of Notre-Dame-de-Paris. Located in Square Jean XXIII, this fountain with its slender, jagged spire, built by Alphonse Vigoureux, supports a statue of the Virgin and Child, sculpted by Louis Merlieux.
