The 4th arrondissement is one of those neighborhoods where the Paris of Parisians meets the Paris of tourists. Cross the quays to theÎle de la Cité, straddling the 1st and 4th arrondissements. Beneath the forecourt, you'll find the Crypte Archéologique de l'Île de la Cité, revealing the underside of the capital. The charming Île Saint-Louis is also worth a visit.
The 4th arrondissement is also home to the historic Jewish quarter of Paris , with the rue Pavée synagogue and the rue des rosiers, where several kosher addresses share the scene.
