The exhibition, running from April 10 to May 23, 2026, invites visitors into the vibrant universe of Boleslas Biegas, a visionary artist at the crossroads of disciplines. Sculpture, painting, photography, as well as fabrics and furniture compose a rich, immersive journey, unveiling the full range of his work. Through his formal experiments and powerful imagination, Biegas asserts a deeply original oeuvre, balancing symbolism and theatricality, revealing an artistic dialogue between France, Poland, and Ukraine.
The experience extends into an immersive audiovisual installation. The artist’s words come alive in the exhibition space: characters and narratives become nearly tangible presences, guiding visitors on their journey. Sounds, movements, and images mingle with the sculptures to forge a vibrant atmosphere where literature and materiality engage in an intense dialogue.
The exhibition’s curator is Anna Aurelia Bieniek, an art historian and PhD candidate at the Sorbonne, who will also offer private guided tours, providing an intimate and in-depth look at Biegas’s work.
Located at 6 quai d’Orléans (75004 Paris), the Polish Library of Paris provides an exceptional setting for this event. A true beacon of Polish culture since the 19th century, it houses precious collections and preserves the cultural ties between France and Poland in a venue steeped in history.
