Can you fish in the Paris Region? What fish live in our ponds, rivers and streams? How do you learn to fish? The Maison de la Pêche et de la Nature answers all these questions in its museum and aquarium, or by introducing you to fishing with a fishing course. The perfect family outing for young and old alike!

Based in Levallois-Perret, on the 'Île de la Jatte, the Maison de la Pêche et de la Nature is the perfect outing for all budding anglers who want to discover the underwater life of nearby aquatic habitats.

The Maison encompasses several spaces: first, the Seine Aquarium Museum, aimed at introducing you to the various freshwater fish that inhabit our rivers and streams, and the aquatic ecosystems of Île-de-France... It’s a true immersion at the heart of the Seine to discover the aquatic fauna that lives and evolves there daily. Take time to pause and watch the 18 panoramic aquarium tanks and their scaled, gilled residents during your visit.

We start the visit at the touch pool, where you can stroke the carps, before moving on to discover the catfish, the golden carassins (a member of the goldfish family), as well as the nursery for the fry. The facility also has a dedicated aquarium just for its Florida turtles, which you can watch swimming up close; a little further on are the crayfish pools, featuring a blue crayfish like you’ve probably never seen before!

Throughout your visit, you’ll also discover the characteristics and daily life of these marine species, most of which can be found in the Seine. As a group, you’re advised to opt for a guided tour (€3 per person, minimum 10 people) lasting 1 hour 30 minutes to uncover the secrets of the fish and other aquatic creatures at the House of Fishing and Nature, in the presence of a guide.

A route to becoming a true budding angler who can tie fishing knots and, above all, land big catches!
