Louvre Museum: Extended Evening Openings to Experience During the Christmas Holidays

Twice a week, the Louvre Museum stays open until 9 p.m., giving visitors and art enthusiasts the opportunity to explore its galleries and admire its masterpieces during a special evening event. These weekly night hours are usually very popular: what better way to spend an evening than in the heart of the world’s largest museum?

During the holiday season, and as part of the Christmas festivities, the Louvre Museum has decided to treat its visitors with a special gesture. From December 22, 2025, to January 3, 2026, the iconic Parisian museum will stay open late every day until 9 p.m., offering extended hours just for the season!

For two weeks, the museum stays open in the evenings, much to the delight of culture and history enthusiasts. It's the perfect opportunity to wander among paintings, sculptures, and ancient artifacts in a more intimate setting, away from the daytime crowds. A wonderful outing to immerse yourself in art and take a break amid the festive holiday atmosphere. Note that these evening openings are not available on December 24, 25, 31, and January 1.

Please note that these museum late nights are always ticketed, according to current prices. The only exception is the first Friday of each month, when entry is free.
