L'Atelier des Lumières invites visitors to discover the great masters of the Renaissance with an immersive and educational exhibition running from March 13 to July 2, 2026, and on certain days during the summer holidays.

A brand-new art installation from Culturespaces and the Atelier des Lumières unfolds in Paris. From March 13 to July 2, 2026, immerse yourself in the vibrant era of the Italian Renaissance, alongside Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, and Michelangelo. The show will also run July 3 to September 13, 2026, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

This immersive exhibition offers a rare journey into one of the most creative, revolutionary, and influential periods in art history. During the 15th century in Italy, creative minds are buzzing with innovation, and artists are celebrated and supported. Painting, sculpture, literature and poetry, architecture, philosophy, and music—every artistic domain draws inspiration from classical models, reinventing themselves and sparking a movement that will leave a lasting impact across Europe.

During this period of creative explosion, geniuses emerge, innovate, and set new standards in their fields. To this day, artists like Raphael, Michelangelo, and Leonardo da Vinci continue to be studied, emulated, and admired.

Atelier des Lumières invites us to explore this remarkable period, offering a journey from Florence to Rome through the works of legendary artists. As always, this digital art center immerses visitors in art with its stunning 360° projections.

But that's not all! This exhibition challenges the usual formats of the Atelier des Lumières, offering a more immersive and enhanced experience. Using lasers, dynamic lighting, and smoke effects, visitors find themselves drawn even deeper into the paintings and artworks on display. The lighting highlights specific areas of a piece, such as characters and perspectives, creating a focused viewing experience. The smoke adds a dramatic flair, intensifying the narrative dimension of the exhibition. Paired with the accompanying soundtrack, these effects transform the journey through art into a more cinematic adventure.

This exhibition offers a very different experience compared to previous presentations at the Atelier des Lumières. A voice-over guides visitors through key historical and artistic concepts, providing a more educational approach centered on the Renaissance. It also marks the end of the usual sequence of artworks and paintings: here, the pace shifts constantly, sometimes slow, sometimes brisk. At certain moments, the walls become emptier, illuminated with dynamic light effects that build a sense of anticipation or suspense.

The Renaissance exhibition centers around Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, and Michelangelo: while many other influential artists could have taken center stage, the focus here is on these three giants of the era. Visitors get a chance to rediscover their masterpieces, complemented by detailed explanations of the techniques used by painters and sculptors alike.

The Atelier des Lumières aims to elevate its immersive exhibitions by offering more powerful experiences that are not only more educational but also more guided. Some may miss the old approach, which was lighter and had a more "rock & roll" vibe. For our part, we welcomed this new direction, finding it more refined and at times truly impressive.
