This two-part fashion exhibition, a marquee event, has been extended until mid-May 2026

Since November 20, 2025, the Dior Gallery has been hosting an entirely new exhibition bringing together more than a hundred pieces from Azzedine Alaïa’s collection. Extended to May 17, 2026, this event echoes a second exhibition presented at the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation from December 1, 2025, and on view until June 21, 2026. Together, these two showcases celebrate the captivating dialogue between Dior and Alaïa, while highlighting the Tunisian couturier’s deep admiration for the mythical New Look.

Two giants. Two visions. One thread. This autumn, Paris adjusts its hems and irons its pleats for the fashion event of the season: Galerie Dior and the Fondation Azzedine Alaïa sign a double fashion exhibition that reveals Azzedine Alaïa's deep admiration for Christian Dior and his legacy.

From November 20, 2025 to May 17, 2026, La Galerie Dior steps out from the shadows for the first time with more than a hundred Dior pieces drawn from the 600 designs collected over the years by Alaïa and safeguarded by his foundation. These treasures, where the drape, cuts and volumes recount Alaïa’s singular gaze on the master of the New Look and his successors, from Yves Saint Laurent to John Galliano. The lineage feels even more tangible knowing that at 21, in June 1956, Azzedine Alaïa spent five days interning at Dior — a precious anecdote embodied in his employee file, now on display behind glass at the Gallery.

Meanwhile, the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation is unveiling a unique exhibition from December 15, 2025, to June 21, 2026. This show features around thirty Dior pieces collected by Alaïa, which converse with an equal number of creations by the Tunisian designer. A captivating couture tête-à-tête across two floors, illustrating how Dior's legacy has subtly influenced the sculpted, flawless lines of Alaïa’s silhouettes.

Having briefly joined Dior in 1956, Alaïa will always remember the absolute demands of the Avenue Montaigne workshops. Curated by Olivier Saillard, with the collaboration of Gaël Mamine, this double exhibition offers an unprecedented rereading of the Dior story through the eyes of a visionary collector. Two exhibitions like two signature pieces, linked by a single thread: the passion of the couture gesture.
