Following the One Piece phenomenon, the Grévin museum shifts gears and goes into reggaeton mode. Bad Bunny makes his entrance into the iconic Paris wax museum this Wednesday, July 1, 2026, just days ahead of his shows at Paris La Défense Arena on July 4 and 5.
Born Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, the artist has become one of the big names in reggaeton and Latin trap. A singer, producer, actor, wrestler and fashion icon, he has helped propel Spanish-language music far beyond his island. His album Un Verano Sin Ti holds the record for the most-streamed album in Spotify history.
For Grévin, sculptor Claus Velte and the museum team had to work without a posing session. The figure was built entirely from photographs, with all the precision that entails to capture the contours of the face, the skin tone, the hair, and the subject’s gaze.
The staging reimagines the world of his latest album: Bad Bunny sits in a white, one-piece armchair, in the midst of vegetation inspired by Puerto Rico. Next to him, a second seat awaits visitors, as an invitation to join the casita del rey del pop for a spontaneous duo-style photo.
The décor also features the concho toad, an emblematic species of Puerto Rico now threatened with extinction. A direct nod to its native island, which the artist continually places at the heart of their visual and musical universe.
On July 1, following Marseille, Bad Bunny continues his European tour with two shows in Paris, then performances in Stockholm, Warsaw, Milan and Brussels. At Grévin, he now joins the gallery of popular icons, not far from Michael Jackson.
The king of reggaeton now has his own wax statue on a throne.
