The Bateau Fluctuat, for educational cruises on the Seine, inaugurated this summer

"Fluctuat nec mergitur", "it is beaten by the waves, but does not sink", a particularly appropriate motto for the city of Paris, which has faced many difficulties but remains one of the most beautiful cities in the world. This summer, a boat named "Fluctuat" will be presented to Parisians, moored at the Port de l'Arsenal. Inaugurated for the " Fête de la Seine", the boat is designed to reconnect Parisians, and in particular the city's children, with the Seine, notably through the experience of navigation.

Cruises for schoolchildren as part of the"School on Water" program will be organized by the town, with activities (assembly of a boat kit, lock observations, visit to the port management headquarters) offered to younger children, as well as educational outings with the "Au fil de l'eau" association. At the start of the new school year, educational tours including a day's sailing on themes of ecology, history, economics and navigation will be open to all classes from CE1 to 4e.

For the general public, educational cruises on the Seine for young and old alike will enable them to discover the biodiversity and life of the Seine on their own or with their families, through boat trips and guided tours along the banks of the Seine, from July 8 to August 9, 2025, open to leisure centers during the week and to everyone at weekends. And to mark the launch of studies for the renaturation of the Bièvre in the Parc Kellermann, a walk is also planned on Tuesday July 8 from the Parc Kellerman to the Seine, on the theme of water in the city.
