Gardens Festival 2026 at Reuilly Garden: nature workshops and a stroll along the Coulée Verte

The Gardens Festival 2026 lands at the Reuilly – Paul Pernin Garden in Paris’s 12th arrondissement, on September 26 and 27. Workshops on birds and biodiversity, repotting, Tatakizomé, and tours of the Coulée Verte René-Dumont will shape a free, family-friendly weekend.

The Garden Festival is back in Paris on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026, with a host of free activities organized in the capital's green spaces. Over the course of a full weekend, gardeners and other nature professionals welcome the public in the city's parks and squares to showcase their work and share their expertise.

According to the location, the program includes repotting, creative workshops, plant discovery, games, guided tours, and meet-and-greets with gardeners and arborists. It’s a playful way to spark children’s interest in biodiversity and to help them understand that Parisian gardens are home to birds, insects, and a wide variety of plant species. For adults, it’s also an opportunity to pick up practical tips to try in their own gardens or on balconies.

The Garden Festival also offers a glimpse into what lies behind keeping green spaces thriving: plant selections, tree preservation, the creation of wildlife-friendly habitats, and evolving gardening practices. Each site tailors its activities to the unique features of the location, letting visitors move from one garden to another without seeing the exact same program twice.

In the 12th arrondissement, gardeners point visitors toward Jardin de Reuilly – Paul Pernin, at 15 rue Albinoni. Built on the site of a former freight yard, this green space sits along the route of Coulée Verte René-Dumont and is best known for the large footbridge that spans above it.

For the Festival of Gardens, families discover the different types of hedges and their role in biodiversity, before taking part in creating a dry hedge. Birds and plants are also featured in the creative workshops, with Tatakizomé, repotting, and games. Two guided tours then offer a chance to gain a higher perspective and continue the stroll along the Coulée Verte, reflecting on its history, its landscapes, and the species that find refuge there.
