La Fête à Neuneu returns to the Bois de Boulogne in Paris, from August 28 to October 11, 2026. Thrill rides, attractions for kids, and free parades bring this back-to-school fair to life, opening with a charity evening in support of the firefighters.

The Fête à Neuneu is back at the Bois de Boulogne, near Porte de la Muette, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, running from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, October 11, 2026. For its 43rd edition, this Parisian funfair extends the holiday vibe for more than six weeks, with kid-friendly rides, adrenaline-pumping attractions, and a lineup of tasty treats at the stalls.

An opening night in support of the Paris firefighters

The real novelty this year lies in its soirée d'inaugurationsolidaire. On Friday, August 28, from 6 p.m., the fairground operators will open all rides and attractions to benefit the Paris Fire Brigade's charitable initiatives. Admission is a flat rate (€10 for under-12s, €20 for adults), with the backing of Europe 2 radio and the presence of host Sébastien Cauet.

This solidarity kickoff honors the brigade mobilized all summer, notably at the Fontainebleau fire that scorched nearly 2,000 hectares of forest in July. The funds raised will go to ADOSSPP, the association that has supported Paris’s firefighters who are injured or ill since 1945, along with their families and orphans. Recognized as a public utility, it receives no subsidies and lives entirely on donations and legacies.

What attractions are there at Fête à Neuneu 2026?

After this evening, the celebration returns to its usual rhythm. Here you’ll find the classic staples of fairground fun: bumper cars, duck fishing, skill games, and rides designed for the youngest visitors. The thrill-seekers, for their part, head toward the boldest attractions, like the famous Booster.

Free weekend activities

Each weekend, free activities mark the festivities. Two family‑friendly events to discover:

  • The Cabaret du Mobil Môme, featuring Petit Fousset and his touring musical caravan: a different show every weekend, about thirty minutes long, on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM. Six of the twenty characters from its fantastical world take turns on stage.
  • The parades, every weekend, featuring characters inspired by comics and cartoons (Brazilian samba, disco, pop and K-pop, circus, bandas). Kids meet heroes like Toy Story, Super Mario, the Smurfs, or Paw Patrol.

What you need to know

Practical note: the Fête à Neuneu opens daily, with extended weekend hours: 4:00 PM to midnight from Monday to Thursday (starting at 2:00 PM on Wednesday), up to 1:00 AM on Friday and Saturday, and until midnight on Sunday. Entrance to the grounds is free, with each attraction priced separately. You can easily reach Bois de Boulogne by metro, via line 9 (La Muette station) or line 10. The program and any updates can be found on the Fête à Neuneu Facebook page.

In our view, the Fête à Neuneu remains one of the season’s best options to keep kids entertained without breaking the bank, especially since this year’s opening night gives the outing real meaning. A date to book for families and fairground enthusiasts, rather than those seeking quiet. Want to stretch the fun? We’re also heading over to la féérie des enfants à Rueil-Malmaison (92), or to our guide to amusement parks and fairs in Île-de-France.
