Bercy Beaucoup is drawing to a close, but there's no question of letting the district fall into disuse! Now it's time for Bercy Encore, a new chapter in transitional urban planning in Paris's 12th arrondissement. Spanning 7,000 m2 between the Seine and the rails, this open-air laboratory will be germinating ideas, encounters and projects until 2029.
In terms of programming, there's a lot going on! Orchestrated by the Jardin des Rails association and a well-established collective, Bercy Encore brings together a merry band of structures with roots firmly planted in the soil... and in their time. The guinguette La Javelle (Petite Lune) sets the festive scene, while Le Plant B whets gardening appetites with the first recycling center dedicated to green thumbs, and City Bzzz raises awareness ofurban beekeeping.
Would you like to get your hands in the soil or compost your everyday life? Pépins Production (neighborhood nursery), DM Compost (local composting) and Interface Formation (integration through ecology) are ready to help. Flying Fablab, meanwhile, focuses on reuse, shared manufacturing and sustainable design.
Designed in collaboration with Looking For Architecture, this XXL space is intended as a prefiguration of the future public garden of the Bercy-Charenton ZAC. Workshops, dances, concerts, open-air screenings, eco-friendly experiments... Here, everyone has a hand in making the city! A fertile ground where we test, cultivate and transform - before the concrete comes back, but never like before.
