Else, the oriental-flavored restaurant a stone's throw from Les Halles, is launching its Sunday brunch. How about a change from the classic brunch for a journey rich in flavors and spices?

The Else Restaurant , which opened its doors last March and which we've already told you about, is now launching its Sunday brunch. A multi-choice brunch that will not only take you out of your usual routine, but will also take you on a journey to different parts of the Middle East.

As a reminder, Daniel Renaudie, a talented chef who has already worked at the Raphaël and the starred Intercontinental restaurant La Rive in Amsterdam, reveals a cuisine rich in spices and flavors. Of Israeli origin, the chef likes to revisit typical Eastern dishes with a Western twist. His cuisine, based entirely on fresh, homemade ingredients, is sure to delight the curious.

For his Sunday brunch, he has concocted a menu featuring 8 different menus for 8 different countries. Every Sunday, you can choose from 3 of them. Israeli, Greek, Lebanese, Iraqi, Turkish, Kurdish, Moroccan or Egyptian, which destination would you like to (re)discover?

For our part, we tested the Moroccan and Lebanese. The Lebanese unveils a grilled egg on pita bread and za'atar, on top of which are 2 tasty falafels, a fresh tabbouleh and a kick-ass labane (fresh cheese topped with eggplant).

On the Moroccan side, an egg and dried fruit tagine with spicy bulgur, carrots with cumin and Taktouka, and a crispy sweet and salty pastilla with jam.

All this is accompanied by a fresh homemade drink (we tested a mint lemonade that's a real kick!), a hot drink including a good homemade chocolate and bread, butter and jam off course.

And then you think, well, that's nice, but the kids will never want to eat all that! Note that the chef has also designed a menu adapted to the little ones. Tomato and cucumber salad, home fries and chopped steak (or ommelette) and Hallah perdu to finish.

In short, all you have to do is try it out, folks? How about a trip to the Orient? For party-goers, there's also a basement club area for musical aperitifs and dinners on Friday and Saturday evenings.
